Finally, some rain has fallen here in northeast Wisconsin! This year's King Salmon run has been dismal at best, with water levels on the lake itself and the tributaries at near record lows!
Expect this rain to bring in some fresh King and Coho Salmon, along with a few early Brown Trout. Finding deeper water where these fish feel safe is key right now, as the shallower areas are to low and clear for these fish to hold.
Good luck fishing, and please feel free to post your results here! I expect to get out within the next few weeks after some fall Trout, so check back often for up to date reports!
